After living in the house a short time, one night in 1977 the Lutz family fled the house after living there almost 1 month to move in with Kathy Lutz' mother and they gave the house back to the bank. They had had all kinds of horrifying demonic paranormal experiences in the house including the terrifying nightmare Kathy Lutz had about the order of the shootings and how the bullets entered and exited the bodies of the DeFeo family members.
Also disembodied voices were heard by Lutz family members while living in the house. In addition, the Lutz family began arguing with each other from the first day they moved in, just like the DeFeo family had, and Mr. George Lutz was becoming more and more possessed by an evil spirit that was planning to kill his family and would have succeeded had they not been able to work themselves out of this horror and flee the house. Strangely, the worse George Lutz' possession got, the more he resembled Ronald De Feo.
Also, the fact that the Lutz family had bought some of the furniture from the DeFeo estate which included the bed frame that belonged to Dawn DeFeo and in which their daughter Melissa used for her own bed, is disturbing according to the one of the guest speakers on the show. Also, another guest mentioned that objects can retain psychic energy either good or bad in itself, which can explain why what happened to the Lutz family was so horrifyingly intense.
The Lutz family later moved all across the country to San Diego to get away form any negative publicity that had plagued them after fleeing the house. Both Kathy and George Lutz adamently stuck to the the stories that they had told about the demonic occurrences in the 112 Ocean Avenue house. Also, after the Lutz family left the house in 1977, there have been no other paranormal demonic occurrences like the ones the Lutz family experienced, supposedly, with subsequent owners. Both Kathy and George Lutz are now deceased.
There also have been numerous seance's and other psychic activities that have been conducted at the 112 Ocean Avenue house in Amityville New York after the paranormal occurrence were made publicly known. In 1977 Ethel Johnson Meyers and Hans Holzer held a seance and as Ethel was in a trance she communicated with a native American spirit buried at the 112 Ocean Avenue property, and this spirit conveyed to her that this property is a massive Indian burial ground.
Then the 19 year old news assistant Laura DeDio found documentation at the Amityville historical society that in fact that massive Indian tribes had been buried at the 112 Ocean Avenue property and this same information has now supposedly conveniently vanished. Another incident was when a camera that was mounted on a tripod on the second floor took a picture of a little boy and at that time the house was not occupied. The photo that was taken was shown on the show and it had a paranormal quality to it.
In front of the house is a sign that says "High Hopes" which must have attracted the Italian/American DeFeo family when they first bought the house in 1974. Ronald DeFeo Sr was a car sales man in the Amityville Long Island area. The house is located on Long Island in New York at 112 Ocean Avenue. It is tragic to realize that the hopefulness of the sign "High Hopes" in front of the DeFeo's new house brought nothing but murder and death for the DeFeo family.

Ronald DeFeo Jr told Jackie to go look for an Indian head coin in South Shore in the woods and she can follow his directions to find it and this way she could see that he is telling her the truth about this case. She found the coin and she felt Ronald DeFeo Jr with her spiritually as she found it. This made Jackie feel closer to Ronald and to believe him and Ronald seemed to say to her "see I told you so and who knows what else we will find."

According to Ronald Jr there had been a bad fight earlier in the evening and their father threatened Dawn "I will get you, I will get you" and then both he and Dawn knew that their father had to go. He and Dawn went to their parents bedroom and Dawn opened the heavy 2 inch solid oak bedroom door and closed it behind them. Ronald stood in front of the bed with Dawn and pointed the gun at his father but couldn't muster up enough courage to shoot even though he also was heavily dope.
His father must have heard them and he woke up and in his stomach position looked in the large mirror above the bed and he saw them and Ronald realized that his father was awake and saw them and he knew that his father would next jump up and he thought his father would now wrap the shot gun around his neck.
Next he heard a shot and he says he didn't shoot and his father got up out of bed and that is when he, Ronald, shot his father with a second round and he remembers a "boom" from the noise of the shot. Then next thing Ronald knew was that Dawn took the gun and shot her mother who must have awoke when she heard the shot. He asked her "why did you shoot Mom?" and Dawn just laughed and thought this was funny according to Ron.
Then Ron said he shot his mother again and he knew his mother was dead now. He said that now there was mass confusion in their parent's bedroom and Ron told Dawn that now they have big problems. He told her to go to her room and he would get help.

Ronald DeFeo Jr is adament that he was nowhere near the house when his siblings were murdered. He said that he loved his siblings and would never have hurt them let alone murdered them. Next thing he knew was that Dawn put the shot gun into his face and she fought with him holding the loud action rifle in her hand. Dawn called Ronald "Butch" and now the figure stood in the door threatening him and that Dawn and him had planned to kill him and his family.
The name of the man that Ronald saw is withheld by the TV show. Ronald don't like that he has been blamed for all the killings and that he has been called the "devil incarnate" when he was not responsble for these killings all by himself and that the majority of the murders, which are the murders of his siblings, was done by Dawn and the man he saw in his vision yet society wanted him die in prison to pay for the murders of his family and the truth had to be told because he knows he is not the devil incarnate who was solely responsible for these murders. He also mentioned that "people are evil and can be as evil as they want." He hopes that what has happened to his family will not happen to any other family ever again.
Ronald DeFeo Jr is very sorry about what has happened to his family and he knows it was very wrong and he is sorry for the part that he had in this horrible crime. He said "it was very wrong what I did!" Ronald says that by the time he was 18 his life had been planned out for him by his father.
He says his father was a member of organized crime and had killed 9 people; he says his father had forced him to become an accomplice in the killings. Ronald DeFeo is sure that the evil spirit that had taken over his body when they moved into the 112 Ocean Avenue house, is also still in the spirits of his dead family members who are buried at Cypress Hill Cemetery.
Jackie Barrett knows she has to go to the house first to find the truth as to what happened there and to see if Ronald has told the truth and then she would go to the cemetery to perform an exorcism or spiritual cleansing of the DeFeo family buried there. So Jackie Barrett went to the 112 Ocean Avenue house in Amityville to find out what had really happened the night the De Feo family was murdered.
Jackie has a psychic connection to Ronald DeFeo and what had happend on November 13th 1974 will be revealed to her in that house and she knew that. Ronald DeFeo Jr had called Jackie and left a message on Jackie's phone the night when Jackie went to the DeFeo house.
In this message Ronald's spirit was taken over by this terrifying entity that told Jackie in a demonic sounding voice wishing her luck and laughing "He's mine; you can't help him; I'm taking him." Jackie knew that this was not Ronnie and something else was possessing his spirit as he said this.
As Jackie entered the house her goal was to resolve her psychic connection she had been having to Ronald DeFeo Jr and to go and fight this evil entity and free Ronald and his murdered family from the horrible curse this evil demonic entity had brought to his family. Possibly the evil spirits entered Ronald's father because of the evil actions his father had entered with organized crime and murder. So Jackie was transferring herself back in time to November 13th, 1974, the day the DeFeo murders occured in the 112 Ocean Avenue house. She felt a lot of panic and rage as she heard the shot gun go off Ronnie was screaming in the master bedroom.
She saw Ronald DeFeo Sr lie on his bed in the stomach position. Ronnie was saying that Dawn shouldn't have awakened their mother and that the bullets were for the father and not mother and Ronnie was crying about all the blood and she heard Dawn laughing and mocking in the background. Then she also heard a lot of running, chasing, and fighting in the house. She could hear Ronald scream "what did you do Dawn?"
Jackie says she now knows exactly what has happned on November 13th, 1974 at the 112 Ocean Avenue address and the truth has been revealed about the DeFeo murders in her psychic revelation and she knows the truth and this truth is all true without a doubt. This demon was not just any demon, Jackie said, this was "the" demon Lucifer or Satan the devil. Ronnie, who was high on drugs, was getting ready to kill his father didn't think his mother would wake up and he didn't want to kill his mother.
Dawn didn't stick to the agenda of only killing the father, and she shot her mother and siblings. Jackie said that there was no shadowy guy that Ronald saw in a vision and that Dawn was responsible for all the killings, including the killings of her 3 siblings.
Ronald DeFeo was so angry that Dawn had killed the siblings that he pushed Dawn onto her bed and killed her with a shot from the shot gun. Not everything Ronald told was the truth, Jackie said, because maybe the evil spirit called "the messenger" interfered and had Ronald tell lied intertwined with truth and made sure that Ronald forgot the 100% truth of what had really happened to his family that night.
There was so much evil in the house, an evil which Jackie felt as she went through the house, and Ronald had told Jackie that he also had felt all that evil and that he even was going to burn that house down at one time because of what he had felt about the house.
Now Jackie went to the Cypress Hill Cemetery at night to battle the evil spirit to put the De Feo family's spirits to rest by perfoming this last exorcism. A true exorcism isn't like in the movies which shows fake exorcism of lavitating people who vomit pea mush but has people crying as the spiritual cleansing/renewal takes place.
As Jackie touched the DeFeo tombstones at Cypress Cemetery she felt so many different spirits enter in and out of her that it almost overwhelmed her and one very evil entity tried to come into her with a vengeance. As Jackie was listening to Ronald's voice that she could hear in their psychic connection, she was able to also see that 3 bodies were on top of one grave which were the murder victims which Ronald had described were murdered by his father with his help as an unwilling accomplice.
Ronald was told by his father that he would kill Ronald if Ronald did not do what his father said, and Jackie was able to feel the abuse thatRonald suffered by his father at that grave. The mafia victims had been murdered with a poisonous needle and Jackie could feel where Ronald had put the needle.
Jackie said that to be able to solve crimes like the DeFeo murders she gets drawn into a black hole that draws her in and she discovered the perfect combination to let the evil spirits in and out and she felt that Ronald DeFeo Jr had been chosen by Lucifer to be the one who would go down for the DeFeo murders but after visiting the house and the cemetery she knows what really happened to the DeFeo family on November 13th, 1974.
For the first time in 36 years the DeFeo family was now at peace and Jackie had succeeded in her battle against Lucifer and the other demons that had inhabited the DeFeo property and the DeFeo family members, including Ronald DeFeo. In fact, when Ronald called Jackie he said "I feel better than ever and am free now of the evil spirit." Ronald DeFeo is very thankful to Jackie Barrett for performing the spiritual cleansing at the Cypress Hill Cemetery.
|A newer photo of Ronald DeFeo and this biography site says his name is Robert DeFeo Jr I don't know why. Here he is approximately 60 years of age.|
Even though Jackie says that Ronald's father was not the problem and that the demon Satan had taken over his father Ronald DeFeo Sr I still believe that because Ronald DeFeo Sr was dabbling in very evil things like organized crime or the mafia as it is called, the demons were drawn to him even more and I feel that Ronald's father did have something to do with that happened to his family. His actions drew the demons to the house.
In addition I feel that the Indian burial ground on which the 112 Ocean Avenue property sits is also a reason as to why the evil spirits were drawn to the family depending on what kind of spiritual practices the Indians that were buried there were drawn to or to the disrespect that the city of Amityville showed to the dead spirits of the Indians buried there by building a house on top of the Indian burial ground.
Ronald was an easy victim to become the vessel that did the evil deeds of Satan because he was so drugged with dope that he would be seen as not credible by authorities. In addition, I believe that Dawn was angry at her family for not letting her do what she wanted to do and she was also an easy target for Satan to enter her and have her commit these unpeakable horrifying murders on her siblings.
Thank God for Jackie Barrett who brought peace to all the DeFeo family members and especially the innocent DeFeo family members like Ronald's siblings and for Ronald De Feo who was the only survivor of this horrifying, tragic, and infamous family murder ghost story, who solely was blamed for 36 years for the family murders and who even had been called "the devil incarnate" when in reality it was the devil who had taken over the bodies and minds of at least 3 DeFeo family members, which included Ronald DeFeo, but Ronald De Feo was not the origin of this evil, he was just the vessel or weapon that Satan and his demons used in addition to the father and Dawn DeFeo.
Ron's father Ronald DeFeo Sr and sister Dawn are more guilty in the DeFeo murders because they let their own selfish desires of wanting to be rich or indpendent of family rules take over and in this case they let the evil entities enter their home and destroy their families with murder.
